I am a self-taught artist and designer. As a child growing up in Lahore, Pakistan, I was inspired by the vibrant and bold colors of the visual culture of the country. I carried this cultural milieu with me when I moved to Woodside, California in 1997. When I became a parent and started volunteering in my son’s classroom to help with science and art projects, my passion for art and teaching blossomed. While I continued to work with kids developing their artist skills, I started my own studio to create and design clothing, accessories, and home goods with bold and original prints. One of my specialties is the method of using decoupage to fuse old and new images which I incorporate with mixed media. I sell my art and items at various boutiques and holiday shows and events in the San Francisco Bay area.

Currently I teach arts & crafts classes in Woodside and Portola Valley California. I hold classes and workshops for ages from children to adult. Additionally, I am available for private art lessons and social artworking parties.
